Religious Expression Days
Ashtabula Area City Schools embrace the rich diversity of its community, which includes families representing a wide range of cultural and religious traditions. We understand the importance of religious observance and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
In line with Board Policy 5000, students may take up to three Religious Expression Days each school year to observe religious holidays or participate in faith-based activities. These approved absences will not result in academic penalties, and students will be provided with appropriate accommodations for any missed exams, assignments, or other academic responsibilities.
Major Religious Holidays
Ashtabula Area City Schools refers to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s Non-Exhaustive List of Major Religious Holidays as a resource. This list highlights many important observances recognized within our community and is intended for informational use. Please note that dates may vary based on cultural traditions, regional practices, and differing calendar systems.
